Coping With Insults during an Interview: Tip #2
Most explicit insults are unusual today because interviewers are aware of the restrictions and legal consequences of committing such misconducts. Their insults may not be overt but they can still offend you even without the actual words, by hint and insinuation or just with a wicked smile as they throw away your resume.
It was worth the great effort to ignore those insults if you get the job. But once you’re working and assured in your job, investigating the interviewer would be a nice idea. If much helpful, inform the management about the offensive conduct. Through this, you may keep upcoming applicants from going through the same painful experience you had to bear. However, if you don’t get the job, you may want to take another move like consulting with an attorney if you think your legal rights have been dishonored.
