Coping With Insults during an Interview: Tip #3

Difficult questions and insults during an interview can be essentially appropriate in cases like if you’re being interrogated for a customer-centered job, for example a customer service professional, that positions you in direct contact with the public.

In that kind of job, you’re going to bump into mad or dissatisfied customers. The panel knows the frustrations you might encounter so they would like to test your responses during the interview. Of course, if you’re competent for the job, you should weather those insults and react with politeness and reassurance as you would do towards a customer. Assert yourself and never give empty responses. Still, take note that panels don’t have the rights to insult your race, sexuality, and religion. If any of these happen to you during an interview, you should contact the head of the company and make a brief honest report of what had occurred.
