Haunting Insults
Soul-crushing, ego-annihilating, stomach-churning stabs are nagging issues everyone has, meaning no one is dealing with it solo. Sharing the nasty, insensitive, and hilarious hard knocks that echoes is ones psyche is a candid way of dealing with it. Some slams are too damn out there to even be offensive. Sure it stung when a stranger called you “sir” the day after you got a boyish haircut, but you laughed, grew out your hair, and eventually got over it! There are your average insults – those onetime slaps that don’t leave a long-lasting mark. Then there are the self-esteem-crushing slams that wallop you so hard, they seem to echo endlessly in your brain. Everyone has something that they’re vulnerable about, as vulnerable as knowing there are mini wireless spy cameras in the loo.
